Patches is a 7 year old Pom who spent her life in a breeding kennel. She is wary of people and loves other small dogs. Patches is heartworm positive and is taking monthly pills to control the infestation. She weighs in at 5 lbs. and barks to let you know she is there. We are considering heartworm treatment however, her condition and age make it a tough call that she may not live thru the treatment. The lifespan of the adult worms is approx. 8 years and we are controlling any new worms.
